Dear Companies Hosting ad:tech Parties,

We truly appreciate your enthusiasm for the industry and your desire to make sure everyone is supplied with the best free well drinks while watching dancers shake their booties atop platforms, speakers and bars but if you want people to actually show up to your party, you can’t schedule it on the same night every other company does. You see, ad:tech spans three days and there are two big party nights. Unfortunately, you all want schedule your party on the first night. This presents problems and challenges for those of us who like to make sure we take every possible opportunity to suck down all available free well drinks and catch our favorite platform dancers.

Luckily, two of the late night Tuesday parties are but a door apart making it easy to check out who has the best…free well drinks. After all, free well drinks is what ad:tech is all about, right? The chance to get horrifically drunk and achieve a head-splitting hangover. OK, so that’s not what it’s all about but, please, do you have to make us feel like all we’re doing is racing from bar to bar just to make sure we don’t miss a party?  There are seven parties Tuesday night and just three Wednesday night. Maybe that’s a good thing. We can get all the drunkenness out of the way Tuesday night and chill Wednesday night.

We feel sorry for Rubicon who’s hosting the only late night party Wednesday. It’s at Harlot which isn’t huge so if you don’t get there early or you’re not on the list, you won’t get in.

Well, anyway. No matter where you end up Tuesday or Wednesday night, we hope to cross paths with you at some point.
